Essential Medicines for Your Travels


Anything can happen when you are travelling. You can get sick easily due to the changes in weather or perhaps a little back pain after your outdoor activities during your holidays. So, to avoid any situations where you couldn’t find any pharmacies nearby, it is vital for you to bring along your own medicines and first aids in your bags. Take a look at our basic list of the medicines that you should pack and bring with you!


1. Paracetamol

Paracetamol is commonly used to treat mild to moderate pain such as headaches, fever, and backaches. This medicine is available at all pharmacies so it shouldn’t be hard to find. Plus, it can reduce more than one pain too!


2. Loratadine

This medication is used to treat allergies and itchiness. You can also consume this medicine if you are having a runny nose and flu. However, Loratadine does not treat serious allergic reactions so if you think you have a serious one, head straight to the doctor!


3. Dimenhydrinate

Dimenhydrinate is an over-the-counter medicine that is normally used to treat motion sickness and nausea. It is very common to experience dizziness while you are travelling so having dimenhydrinate can really solve your problem. It can definitely treat dizziness and reduce the feeling of vomiting.


4. Charcoal Tablets

It is also possible for you to get stomach pain or even worse, diarrhea while travelling. But don’t worry as the charcoal tablets can reduce your pain and can also treat indigestions.



5. Adhesive Bandages/Medical Plaster

This small medical dressing can be useful for you especially when you have those small and deep cuts on your finger or legs. You’ll be needing this to cover the small injuries so that it won’t be exposed to the bacteria.

These are the basic medicines that you should definitely have in your emergency bag. However, if you suffer from serious conditions, please remember to bring your prescribed medication. Always ask the pharmacists or doctors before buying and consuming the medicines.
